1960 Chevrolet Corvette Restored In Colors You’Ve Never Seen.

The roadster finished in Cascade Green appears to be in immaculate condition.  Every first-generation Corvette is an artwork in fiberglass, and a reflection of an ebullient era in US automotive history. The Pick of the Day is an unusual example, a 1960 Chevrolet Corvette in the rare factory color of Cascade Green with White coves.

Just 140 Corvettes left the factory in this mellow shade, and this one has been meticulously restored “to all-original specs,”.

“The body is extremely straight and the Cascade Green paint has been professionally sprayed and color sanded to a mirror-like finish,” the dealer says in the ad description. “All the chrome has been professionally re-plated. All trim has been refurbished and shows amazingly.

“Opening up the door reveals a beautifully restored black interior. The seats are tight and plush. The padded dash shows tight and clean.”

The Corvette is powered by the numbers-matching 283cid V8 engine, which was professionally rebuilt to 270-horsepower configuration with a solid-lift cam and two 4-barrel carburetors, the dealer says. The engine is linked to a 4-speed manual transmission.

“A quick turn of the key and you will be mesmerized by the beautiful sound this Corvette produces,” the dealer notes. “It is easy to see no expenses were spared during this professional, comprehensive restoration.”

The photos with the ad show the Corvette’s stunning appearance, all the more interesting because of the sports car’s rare color treatment, rather than the usual red, black or silver so often seen.

According to the dealer, the Corvette has been consigned by the owner of what’s known as the “Eastern Collection.”

“This savvy collector traveled the country in search of some of the finest classic cars in America,” the dealer says. “We have the opportunity to sell over 30 of these fine automobiles.”

The Corvette was a “no-hit, solid, original car” before the frame-off restoration, the dealer adds, and it now runs as beautifully as it looks.

“Driving this Corvette is a blast from the past,” the dealer says. “The rebuilt 283ci V8 runs very strong, producing a very pleasing and aggressive sound. The 4-speed transmission shifts effortlessly with a great feel.

“A quick trip down the road, you will instantly be impressed by the tight and smooth handling. Steering is tight and smooth. This Corvette is truly a great driver.”
